Covid Pass information

Government guidance says that vaccination status (now called the Covid Pass) is to demonstrate a patient has had a full course which is 2 doses of an approved vaccine in England.

We understand that 1st doses should also be visible to patients in the NHS App before having the 2nd dose.

Covid vaccinations received overseas - There is currently (Aug 21) no way of recording vaccines received abroad for this purpose. (Either one dose, where the second is given in England, or both doses given abroad).

The Covid vaccination programme’s Digital team are working on a solution. There is an important question of whether recording a vaccine given abroad will entitle a patient to a vaccine certificate, and whether this is what the policy should be, and this is part of the consideration.

A service is being established to support people in England with specific queries about their COVID-19 vaccination records. NHS Digital will provide more information when available. We understand that the 119 service will take over this process.

It can take up to 5 working days from the date of the patient receiving their full course of the vaccine before the system is updated. It is then expected for the letter to take up to 5 working days to reach the patient.

If you believe you have  missing or incorrect COVID-19 vaccination data, please call 119 and ask the call agent to make a referral to the VDRS team on your behalf. The VDRS team will then call you back within 5 working days
